The Community Services & Promotions Department is proud to offer a wide range of services and activities for our local community to enjoy! In Community Services, you can find a variety of activities and options that fit what you are looking for. Whether it be in our Recreation Division from classes to leagues, activities to programs, to the many services offered, you will find it here! 

Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to serve the interests of every age group including the Colony Park Community Center, A-Town Park, the Pavilion on the Lake, the Charles Paddock Zoo and the Zoo Garden Event Center. Our beautiful public parks are a great place to host a BBQ, a special celebration or family gathering. Plus, we have a friendly team waiting to assist you with your request! 

The department offers many services with popular signature events like the annual Tamale Festival in May, the Summer Concert Series that runs June through August, Cruisin’ Weekend in August, and Winter Wonderland in December. These events bring the community together and continue to promote the simply genuine character of the City of Atascadero! 

The Recreation Division is located at the Colony Park Community Center (5599 Traffic Way, Atascadero). The Customer Service desk is open weekly, Monday through Friday from 9 am until 5 pm, phone (805) 470-3360.
